Exploring the relationships that can be found and forged between art and architecture

04/06/15

The Foundry Gallery was established by architects Jonathan Goode and Jason Slocombe as a venue to investigate and communicate the linkages between art and architecture. Le Lay Architects supports the gallery by funding a program of exhibitions showcasing selected artists. The work looks at architecture through the eyes of the artist and allows for a depth of exploration that is not normally available in built projects. The gallery forms the foundation of the practice’s own research into how architectural ideas are conceived and how people engage with buildings and structures.

Over the past 5 years we have exhibited work from 13 artists and guest curators. These shows have included a wide range of art forms including: sculpture, painting, photography, print and textiles.

The gallery is curated by Elizabeth Goode and has a dedicated website at www.thefoundrygallery.org
