Project:

Grade II Georgian Townhouses, Chelsea

A pair of Georgian terraced townhouses extended in the Victorian and Edward period and subdivided into nine flats in the 1950’s. Le Lay Architects created four generous new apartments spanning the building from front to rear, achieving a clear layout and orientation. A new lift and high-level heating and cooling were specified greatly improving the value of the upper floors.

Our experience and in-depth knowledge of Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian architecture meant we could carefully strip back accumulated layers of inappropriate alteration to reveal the evident historic character of the homes. Coupled with our network of contacts we brought together a team of specialist trades and craftsperson’s to finish the apartments to prime condition.’
